Day 1: Kathmandu to Chitwan
Your tour will be started with a drive from Kathmandu to Chitwan that will take approximately 6 hours depending upon the traffic. You will be provided with lunch and you can relax for some time at your hotel. The day doesn’t end here; there is a lot more to come.
After resting for some times, we will take a tour to the village inhabited by ‘Tharu’ (native dwellers of Chitwan). We will move further to the Elephant Breeding Center, situated in Khorsor, Sauraha. Elephants are one of the species of Chitwan and hence, it will be pleasing to view the feeding behavior, learn about their mating habit by the captive breeding method and their significance.
After Dinner, you will be treated with unique Tharu cultural dance program that are held every day at 7:00 pm. The Tharu dance is performed by the people of Tharu community which is a full package of entertainment.
Day 2: Jungle safari
The day starts with breakfast and a canoe ride along the Rapti River. This is an excellent opportunity to view bird as it is the Bird watching center in Chitwan. Not only birds but there are chances of seeing the Gharial crocodiles and the Marsh Mugger, both dwelling in the Rapti River.
Next step is the revitalizing walk to the sub-tropical forests lying in the periphery of Chitwan National Park and invigorate yourself in the sylvan beauty of the forest. An experienced nature guide will provide you with interesting information about the wildlife of Chitwan.
After lunch, next up is one of the best things-to-do in Chitwan, i.e., Jeep Safari. If you want to enjoy the alluring nature to the fullest, you can’t miss Jeep Safari. Jeep Safari can vary in duration depending upon the time you start. Jeep Safari goes through the forests, rivers, grasslands and finally drives you to Kasara (head quarters of the national park) which is best known for captive breeding of Gharial and Vulture. You can learn about the series of life events of Gharial that are breed in captivity, that starts from hatching to nursery pool , yearling pool to old school and finally the breeding pool.
Day 3: Jungle safari
On this day, you can enjoy your tour on you own till afternoon. You will be given some personal space to enjoy your visit.
At the day time, you will finally explore the rest of the jungle through Elephant safari. Elephant safari will be leaded by an experienced Elephant Mahout, where you will be seated on the back of the Elephant. This is probably the best part of the wildlife tour where you will see at least a Rhinoceros on the way.
Day 4: Bird watching
Different kinds of birds are nested in the jungles of Chitwan. One of the best parts of the wildlife tour is bird watching which will assure to add colors to your life, for a day at least. Various native and migratory birds are recorded in the forests of Chitwan that fly over the sky all day. Nothing will sound more beautiful that the chirping of birds in the immense tranquility of the forest in the morning time. You are likely to get view of birds like Cormorants, Lesser Adjutant, Hornbills, Kingfisher, Bengal Florican and many more.
The rest of the day will be left for your personal belongs.
Day 5: Back to Kathmandu
After a memorable romance with the nature, it’s now time to get back to your destination. Around 6 hours drive from Chitwan you will reach to Kathmandu.
